The WTO is one of the most effective trade agreements between nations. In 1995, the WTO replaced the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and has 125 Member States. 153 members are currently members of the WTO. Many believe that GATT began rapid trade liberalization in 1947 and that its action contributed to the expansion of trade around the world by removing tariffs and quotas. In addition, the WTO pursued the GATT principle with a more multilateral forum for governments to conclude or challenge trade agreements. India and the United States are studying capacity building and joint military cooperation with countries in the region, suggesting that relations move to the next stage after the signing of important pacts, including the Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (Beca) signed on Tuesday. New Delhi`s attitude takes place in the midst of the United States, Brazil, Colombia and Japan, which call on members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) to accelerate the implementation of the agreement and argues that trade is an essential channel to pass on products in need to those in need in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic. At an online media briefing, Roman Babushkin, vice-president of the Russian mission, also said that the two sides were working on a reciprocal logistical support agreement and that they were close to sealing a multi-billion euro agreement in which an Indorus joint venture will produce 200 Kamov Ka-226T of attack helicopters for the Indian armed forces. Regional economic integration has not been as successful in Asia as in the EU or NAFTA, with most Asian countries relying on US and European markets for export. Founded in 1967, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) consisted of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA), officially established in 1993, was expected to reduce tariffs on inter-regional trade to a maximum of 5% by 2008. ASEAN is the third largest free trade agreement in the world after the EU and NAFTA and through MERCOSUR. Established in 1989, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is expected to foster multilateral economic cooperation on trade and investment in the Pacific. APEC consists of 21 countries bordering the Pacific; Progress towards free trade is hampered by the size and geographical distance between Member States and the absence of a treaty. The EU is the largest and largest regional economic group. It started as a free trade agreement with the aim of becoming a customs union and integrating in another way. The formation of the European Parliament and the introduction of a single currency euro make the EU the most ambitious compared to other regional trading groups. It has gone from the European Economic Community (EC) to the European Community (EC) to the European Union. Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, which have decided not to leave the European Free Trade Area, are linked to the EU as a customs union. The EU has 28 countries, including 12 from most Central and Eastern European countries that have joined since 2004.
